The Fender's | Family Shoot

Jill and I work together at Lexington Senior High School.  It is both of our first year at LSHS, although it is her eighteenth year teaching.  She has become a wonderful friend and an amazing resource for information on teaching.  She is very encouraging and helps pick me up when I'm having a bad day.  You may remember some pictures I posted of her grandmother's house and her cow, Molly.  She wanted to get some pictures of John and her for Christmas cards so I went back to her beautiful home in Salisbury, NC to take just those!

The Godley's | Family Shoot

A month ago I did a shoot for Mary Beth and her boyfriend, Alex; you can check it out here.  Mary Beth's sister, Ashley, is getting married next August and their mom wanted some fun family pictures this year for Christmas.  I had so much fun shooting the Godley family.  Obie, Becky, Mary Beth, and Ashley show so much love for each other and it can be seen in their images.  The Godley's have always welcomed me into their home and they all hold a special place in my heart.  All of these pictures were taken in their very own backyard, it's beautiful out there!

House

This house was Jill's grandmother house and although they don't know exactly how old it is, she told me it was at least 100 years old.

Meet Molly

Today I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with one of my coworkers, Jill.  Jill and her husband, John, live on a small cattle farm in Salisbury, NC.  She kept telling me about how beautiful her house was and that I needed to go and take pictures, so that's exactly what I did.  I would like to introduce you to Molly.

Matt & Bethany | Love Birds

I met Matt and Bethany when Alex and I first started dating, since they all went to the same church.  Bethany has become one of my best friends here in Lexington.  Matt and Bethany have been married for three years and wanted some pictures done with their dog, Roxy.  Thank you for letting me capture your love for one another!!! Enjoy!

These two are so much in love!

Beautiful Roxy Dog

This should probably be up on a wall somewhere! Or on a Christmas card!

Thank you for letting photograph you for such a special occasion!!!

Alex and Mary Beth | Love Birds

I've known Alex for quite a while.  We met at summer camp when I was 10.  Mary Beth came into the picture in 8th grade and then again their Junior year of High School.  Through my friendship with Alex, Mary Beth became one of my best friends.  Strangely enough our friendship only grew stronger while I was away for college.  We talk on the phone at least twice a week.  She was a bridesmaid in my wedding.  Since I now live four hours away, I knew her and Alex needed to come visit and I knew I wanted to get some shots of them.  We went uptown to some one lane tunnels and found some awesome run-downed building and got some amazing shots.  Our session led us to my husband's grandfather's house where we had fun exploring.  Here are a few of my favorites.

They couldn't have had better outfits to go with that yellow!

Yes.  That is a real sign.

My new favorite building in Lexington.  Fell in love with all the textures.

These two are so in love.

Alex is an amazing singer/guitarist.  The only thing, besides my husband, that I remember about our wedding ceremony was Alex singing during the Unity Sand Ceremony.

Spur of the moment shot when the train ran us off the track.

Mary, you are SO GORGEOUS!!!

Loved this old barn at my husband's grandpa's house.

Looking good Alex!
