Catching Up

Apparently I spent the last year updating my Facebook page and neglecting the blog.  I wasn't even sure I was going to update with a post, but when I saw it's been since March of 2011 since I last posted I figured a post was long overdue.  Please check out my Facebook page for more pictures!

Sinks | Siblings

I met Lauren in college while at NCSU.  For almost two years we were inseparable.  One of the best things about Lauren is her loving family, including her amazing younger brother, Nick.  I have never met a brother/sister combo that loved each other more than Lauren and Nick.  They have a truly special relationship.  While at the beach for Lauren's Bachelorette weekend, she asked me to get some pictures of her and Nick (yes, Nick was at the bachelorette weekend, he is that awesome of a brother).  Of course I said yes!  Here are just a few!

Jenny | Bridals

My friend Jenny was engaged July 4, 2010.  I was super excited that her and Alex, or as we call him, Bridgman, were going to be joined in holy matrimony.  Around Christmas she asked if I would do some bridal portraits and I was all for it!  We set a date and as it approached, I watched the weather, and of course, it rained.  We racked our brains and decided to do the shoot in her church, St. Paul Pentecostal.  It was the first time I had done a shoot indoors, so I was definitely nervous, but I loved the way the pictures turned out.  Alex and Jenny got married today, so with great pleasure here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.  Please check out Eric Jones Photography for pictures of the wedding day (coming soon)!

The Philbricks | Maternity

Stacey contacted me after I did some portraits for her brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Bethany, about doing some maternity shots.  I was so excited.  I think maternity shots are a definite must when pregnant.  It captures such a special time in a couple's life.  Who would have thought we would have picked a FREEZING cold day.  Stacey and Clint were both troopers as we worked through the cold to get some amazing shots!  The only thing Stacey was set on was some pictures on the railroad tracks and that is where we got started.  I hope you and enjoy and please leave some love for the Philbricks!

I am so excited for the arrival of Jake Allen!  Best of luck to Stacey and Clint as they prepare for their blessing and bundle of joy!

Recent Shots

Here are some pictures from some resent random shooting!

This was taken when I did my session with Alex and Mary Beth.  It was taken at my husband's grandfather's house.
I took this picture of the beautiful sunset at my parent's house.  Can you believe this is what they get to look at every day??

This was taken at a local antique shop here in Lexington, NC.
Keep an eye out for some pictures from my maternity shoot with Stacey Philbrick tomorrow afternoon!!

Sunset

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous New Year!  It's been a while since I've blogged, but with the holidays, I haven't had much time to get the camera out for formal shoots!  Hopefully, I'll have some pictures from my break up soon.  In the next month be looking forward to a maternity shoot and a few family sessions.  Also to come in March, my first bridal session!  I can't wait!!!

Here's a picture of the sunset from our back porch.  Enjoy!
